Care by life stage

Chiropractic care for school-age children and teens

Visits that fit the school day, before the first bell or after pickup.

Backpacks, desks, sports and screens all ask something of a growing body. The doctor looks at how your child sits, stands and moves, explains what was found, and talks with your child as well as with you.

What a visit includes

From hello to a plan

  1. 01

    Step 1: Check-in and a talk

Your child's own words matter. The doctor asks what your child notices, and what you would like to know.

  2. 02

Step 2: Posture and movement checks

Sitting, standing, carrying a pack and, if your child plays one, a movement from a sport.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Care explained first

Your doctor describes each adjustment, uses the lightest contact that fits and stops if your child is uncomfortable.

  4. 04

Step 4: Habits for the week

Backpack fit, how to sit at a desk and a few movements your child can do at home.

Good to know

Before you book

  • How long, and how often

Visits run 30 to 45 minutes. Before-school visits start at 7:30 a.m., and after-school visits start at 2:30 p.m. Your doctor sets a plan after the exam.

  • What we do not claim

    • That care improves grades, focus or sports results

    • That chiropractic care replaces your child's pediatrician or coach

    • A number of visits or a result, because results vary

  • When to see a physician first

Call your pediatrician or 911 first after a hard fall or a blow to the head, or for a fever, new weakness, numbness or trouble walking.

  • How it is paid

Your plan decides what it pays, and coverage for children's visits differs from plan to plan. Our front desk checks your benefits before the first visit and calls you. If you pay yourself, we give you a written estimate in advance.
